Description: Colt Government Model 1911A1 Semi-Automatic Pistol.
Commissioned by the United States Military Academy at West Point for the graduating class of 2000, and made available for purchase to graduating cadets. The pistols feature standard three-dot fixed blade and notch sights, adjustable three-hole trigger, skeletonized commander style hammer, extended beavertail grip safety, and a flat serrated mainspring housing. The left side of each slide is factory inscribed "WEST POINT" and the right is inscribed "CLASS OF 2000". Fitted with smooth grips with inset gold West Point medallions. The pistols come in a shared hardwood display case with a fitted green velvet interior, and a brass plaque reading "West Point/Pistol Team/Class of 2000". The original Colt blue cases and papers are also included.
